Fairyhouse Racecourse
Fairyhouse Racecourse is one of Ireland’s premier horse racing venues. Situated in the parish of Ratoath in County Meath. It is the home of the BoyleSports Irish Grand National. The first race meet was held in 1848. In 1870, the first Irish Grand National steeplechase was held here.
Curragh Racecourse
The Irish Derby is a prestigious Group 1 flat race held annually at Curragh Racecourse in County Kildare usually in late June or early July. Open to three-year-old thoroughbreds, it covers 1 mile 4 furlongs (2,414 metres).
RDS Show
The first National Horse Show was held in Dublin on April 16-17, 1864. The event, organised by the Royal Agricultural Society of Ireland and the Royal Dublin Society, was held in the Agricultural Hall at the RDS premises at Leinster House.
